While the campground itself is well-maintained, the staff leaves much to be desired. While not outright rude, the staff is very unhelpful and borderline hostile. They were never able to offer any information on the area and, it appears, nobody that works there is from Charleston, as they could not give directions to anything other than the visitors center. One must wonder why people that so obviously dislike customers go into a customer service related field. Many of the campers there appeared to be long-term, thus giving the campground the flavor of a trailer park. Campers near our site had a full patio setup with table, chairs, umbrella and a full-sized grill. No activities were offered. Cable was not available - a problem in such a heavily-wooded campground. Overall, the park was too expensive for what you get. I would not stay there again.

This was my second stay at this campground. The park is spotless and the staff is stellar in it's quality. They are friendly and solicitous. They always spoke when driving by and made sure that I was comfortable. The only reason I gave an 8 instead of a 10 on the score was due to the very small size of the site. I will stay here again when I return to Kingsport later this year.

The campground is pretty and the staff friendly, but the sites are very, very small. While sewer is plumbed to many sites, the caps are marked with "Do not use. $500 fine." This strikes me as a rather excessive fee for dumping. The road the campground is on is very narrow, closely lined by trees and carries a lot of high speed traffic. When I passed an oncoming pickup, we both had to drive on the shoulder of the road, within inches of the trees. I don't think I could have passed an oncoming camper. This was just an overnight stop, so I didn't explore very much. However, there doesn't appear to be a lot nearby.

This was a very nice campground. The sites are huge and the park is nicely maintained. It is regularly patrolled by security. Access and egress are very easy. Excellent location in regards to attractions such as Busch Gardens and the Williamsburg Winery. I will most certainly stay here again.
